Kitty-bump bonding

Inertia is still trying to sleep on my belly. She slides off, gets kicked by her baby brother, and generally doesn't fit. But she won't give up.

Nursery fun

We (Cameron) started painting the nursery this weekend! It's a beautiful light gray, but we're also going to paint the dresser wall a darker gray. I hope to paint some nice birch trees on it.

The paint should look great with the bright white trim and dresser, as well as the white & dark gray crib. His little foxy room is well under way now!

I haven't gotten much work done on his quilt lately (the front is all sewn together) because I couldn't find a soft baby fabric in a cute matching print at Joann fabric this weekend for the back side! I guess that means on to internet fabric shopping once again. Dark backing fabric for the curtains also needs to be found to get those puppies sewn up.

Still need to finish embroidering this painting and begin his companion canvas. Just over three months to get it all done!

Cloth diapering?!

Cameron and I decided early on to cloth diaper little Bran's tushie. We have so many reasons, including cost, waste, possible skin sensitivities, convenience, and my new-found addiction to cute diaper prints. I mean, just look at this, his butt is going to match his room!!

We are going to start off with mainly disposables while he's tiny (no need to invest in a huge stash of newborn cloth diapers when he might be a giant). I will be integrating some cloth into my routine to get used to doing laundry enough, and because people say there are fewer blow-outs with cloth (win!).
